Shark River Park offers a remarkable 4.7-mile hiking trail that encompasses the Cedar, River’s Edge, Hidden Creek, and Pinehill’s Trail. The trail commences with a short walk through a stunning open field, a perfect spot for picnicking and engaging in various outdoor activities. Beyond the field are small creeks and vast marsh plains.

Continuing along the path, a narrow winding trail adorned with lush bushes on either side unfolds before you. A short distance ahead, the trail presents its first set of stairs.

Planks are placed throughout the trail as stepping stones to ensure secure footing amidst the marshy terrain.

As you progress further, a creek reveals itself, graced by a fallen tree suspended overhead. Makes for a great picture.

Shortly after, you encounter another set of stairs leading you to an enclosed, verdant portion of the trail.

Continuing for approximately three miles, the trail unveils yet another captivating view—an open space adorned with fine sand.

Further along the trail, you notice a section marked by vehicle tracks.

Around the four-mile mark, a welcome sight awaits—an open space complete with a bench, inviting you to relax and savor a well-deserved lunch.

Resuming your trek, you traverse more narrow, winding trails eventually reaching the final set of stairs, leading you to another magnificent sight—a fallen tree gracefully stretching across a serene creek.

Beyond the stairs, a stunning view of the creek awaits, serving as the perfect conclusion to the Shark River Park Trail.

The journey through this trail undoubtedly exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend visiting.
